2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 Sedan

Design:

From their standard LED Daytime Running Lamps and taillamps to their aggressively sculpted bodywork, the C-Class Sedans are designed to attract your attention as irresistibly as they are drawn to the road. While their fresh new face conceals thousands of internal improvements, their performance heritage is evident in every element of their design.

Sportier, more luxurious and exquisitely crafted, the completely redesigned C-Class cabin is a feast for the eyes and a treasure to the touch. From the large central color-LCD screen to the premium finishes to the elevated standard equipment, it's a cockpit that delights drivers and passengers alike, and like no other car in its class.

Performance:

The world's first 7-speed automatic transmission has been reengineered for smoother, more efficient and more responsive performance. Its advanced driver-adaptive logic tunes the shift patterns to your current driving style, while manual-style Touch Shift control lets you take charge for yourself.

Standard on the C300, 4MATIC™ all-wheel drive integrates our 4-wheel Electronic Traction System.[*4] 4-ETS continually redistributes the engine´s torque to the wheels with the best grip, even if that´s only one wheel. With a 45:55 front/rear torque split, the lightweight and compact 4MATIC system enhances dry-road handling, too.

Technology:

User-friendly innovation puts abundant technology within reach. With a multifunction steering wheel and convenient central controller, the C-Class puts audio, vehicle settings and the optional hard-drive navigation with Enhanced Voice Control as close as your fingertips or your voice. The standard Bluetooth® system eases hands-free calling and wireless streaming of your digital audio player.

The optional Lane Tracking Package makes driving more secure on multi-lane roadways. Blind Spot Assist can help alert you to unseen vehicles in the adjacent lane, while Lane Keeping Assist helps to warn you if you're drifting out of your lane.

Mercedes-Benz and a Cleaner Future

Mercedes-Benz has a rich history of environmental sensitivity, with more than a century of ongoing research driving changes in our technology. We've taken a giant leap forward in reducing the carbon footprint and making a real difference for the future of our planet. For starters, we took the world's first diesel engine and made it one of the world's cleanest, but it doesn't stop there. Just a few more ways Mercedes-Benz supports sustainability include:

  • A Think Green Team of employees that raises awareness about environmental issues
  • The first green luxury dealership in the world to be U.S. Green Building Council-certified
  • The launch of the S400 HYBRID sedan and ML450 HYBRID SUV
  • The launch of the zero-emission fuel cell vehicle in fall of 2010

You invested in Mercedes-Benz. Now Mercedes-Benz has your back!

New Vehicle Warranty

All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are protected by our New Vehicle Limited Warranty, covering defects in material or workmanship for 48-months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For added protection, the Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers continued peace of mind with prolonged coverage tailored to your needs.

Extended Limited Warranty

The Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers additional protection once the original 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires, with options that add an extra one, two, or three years of protection to best fit your ownership experience - up to 100,000 miles.

And because this Extended Limited Warranty is a product fully backed by Mercedes-Benz, you can have complete confidence that it offers a premium level of coverage when compared to aftermarket alternatives.

Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty offers several term options so you can choose the coverage that best suits your needs. Based on your vehicle model, you may choose to continue your warranty coverage up to 60, 72, or 84 months from the original 48-month/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty start date - up to either 75,000 or 100,000 total miles.

Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty coverage may be purchased at any time prior to the expiration of your original New Vehicle Limited Warranty.* Payment options are also flexible. We will work with you to help determine the approach that will best fit your needs.

To help ensure that coverage under your warranty right is never affected, it is highly recommended that you bring your Mercedes-Benz to an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealership for all your service and repair needs, starting with regular maintenance at the intervals outlined in your Maintenance Booklet.

Black is Back

Mercedes-Benz didn't waste any time rolling out its all-new C-Class Coupe lineup this year. Continuing the DTM-inspired, hardcore performance spirit of past Black Series cars, the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is much more than just a standard AMG car with bigger fenders.

The Black Series edition is powered by a version of Mercedes' now legendary, naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8, which pumps out a robust 510 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque in this application. The engine's forged pistons, connecting rods, and lightweight crankshaft are straight out of the SLS AMG. Running the show is a new high-performance engine control unit, which makes possible the claimed 4.2-second dash from zero to 60 mph.

The C63 Black Coupe press kit is littered with references to the trickle-down technology from Mercedes' racing efforts and the car's other go-fast goodies. Inside the coupe's cockpit, a hard-core racing influence envelops the entire cabin. The non-reclining sport bucket seats are finished in DINAMICA microfiber, with carbon-fiber inlays in the dash, and red accent stitching on every upholstered surface. The omission of rear seats is further evidence of how serious a track car the Black Series C-Coupe is, and deleting the seats saves weight and lends the car that gutted, race-car look.

A sleeper the Black Series is not. With an aggressively styled, over-the-top exterior and thunderous exhaust note, the C63 AMG Black Series is a car for drivers with similarly conspicuous tastes.
